Noel Rojo is a Mexican/American freelance journalist covering human rights with a focus on women and Indigenous people, and global issues, such as migration and climate change.
He has covered extensively the regions of Southeast Asia, India, Latin America, and Africa. Currently, he is based in Oaxaca, Mexico. 
Five years ago, he co-founded the long-term, global project Women Who Stay that brings a different perspective on migration – the perspective of women left behind after men migrate.
