Lauren McAfee is the founder and visionary of Stand for Life. She is the author of several books, including Only One Life (Zondervan, 2018), Not What You Think (Zondervan, 2019) Legacy Study (B&H, 2019), Beyond our Control (Thomas Nelson, 2023) and Created in the Image of God (Forefront, 2023). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Ethics and Public Policy and focusing her research on the theology of the imago dei applied to women’s reproductive health.
 
Lauren has Masters of Arts in pastoral counseling and theological studies, as well as a Masters of theology. She and her husband Michael live in Oklahoma City and together they have two daughters, Zion and Zara, through the blessing of adoption.
